  1. Annual Forum (AF) in Arusha (TZ) 27th May 2008
    The 5th VicRes AF will be held in Arusha Tanzania, starting 27th May 2008. Invitations have already been sent out to respective institutions, asking tem to nominate their representatives. Up to 300 scientists/ researchers, including VicRes researchers, universities, research institutions, organizations and international observers are expected to participate.
  2. Lead Scientists Seminar (LSS) 9th March 2008 Jinja (UG)
    The first LSS will take place starting the weekend of 9th March 2008. The event will focus on re-tooling leaders of the 88 funded projects with skills required to:
    • Link researchers with user of products
    • Successful road to innovative research

  3. Harmonization Workshop (HW) 16th – 22nd March 2008 at Jinja (UG)
    The VicRes 8th harmonization workshop will take place on 16th – 22nd March 2008.
    Participants will work towards upgrading of 68 concepts full proposals following considerations of 3 to 4 research concepts. There will be a pre-proposal session that will focus on revitalization of skills for writing winning proposal and discourses of team dynamics.

    Over 210 senior and junior scientists who have been drawn from different institutions of the East Africa partner states will participate.
